STUDENTS at Wilmslow High School are celebrating ‘excellent performances’ in A level and BTEC exams.
Results showed that 83 per cent of sixth formers achieved grades A* to C grades in A levels.
On the BTEC courses, 82 per cent gained grades distinction*, distinction and merit.
Headteacher James Pulle said: “Congratulations to the class of 2022 on responding so impressively to the return of external examinations after two years of Covid changes to assessment arrangements.

“The careful planning of teaching by our hard-working staff, the provision of extensive support in response to periods of Covid isolation and the determination of our students have combined to produce excellent performances across all subjects.
“We share their excitement and congratulate them on these results.”
Students are now heading off to universities across the country including Oxford, Cambridge, King’s London, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Durham and York.
“The powerful knowledge of our formal curriculum subjects has inspired our students to embark on an exciting range of degree courses and apprenticeships that will prove invaluable through life’s journey,” said Mr Pulle.
Subjects they will be studying include anthropology, journalism and criminology to history, medicine and computer science.
