Tuckman was found guilty after evidence was presented to the court.

The defendant also pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence of cannabis at the same time as the first offence.

A subsequent blood test recorded 6.7 micrograms of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, an ingredient of cannabis, in his blood.

The legal limit for this breakdown product is 2ug/L.

The bench convicted him of this offence after listening to the evidence.

Sentencing him for both offences, magistrates banned Tuckman from holding or obtaining a driving licence for three years and four months and endorsed his driving record.

Disqualification is obligatory for this offence, the court heard.

His driving licence was also endorsed.

Tuckman was also given a concurrent community order for both offences and must carry out 120 hours of supervised unpaid work during the next 12 months.

The defendant was also ordered to pay £95 victim surcharge and was given permission to start paying this court penalty at a rate of £20 per month starting on August 25.
