THREE people arrested following a series of high value burglaries in Cheshire have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Cars, cash, watches, jewellery and designer clothing were stolen at eight burglaries, including homes in Wilmslow, Over Peover and Goostrey.

Cheshire Police carried out raids yesterday, Thursday, for the second day running with Greater Manchester as part of force’s ongoing crackdown on cross border criminality.

Officers from the Macclesfield Proactive Team, with support from officers from Greater Manchester Police executed raids at three addresses in Wythenshawe and one in Runcorn on Thursday, July 28.

Two men, aged 43 and 32, and a 36-year-old woman, were all arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary.

All three suspects were held in police custody whilst being questioned by officers and have now been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

The arrests form part of an ongoing investigation into eight burglaries at homes in Wilmslow, Over Peover, Goostrey, Prestbury and Bramhall, which took place between February and June.

During the incidents, a number of high-value items were stolen, including cars, cash, watches, jewellery and designer clothing.
