WORKING from home has inspired a gifted designer to create space for a modern office and somewhere to chill out with a glass of wine.
Award-winning Pip Probert has won yet another gold medal at the RHS Tatton Flower Show for her imaginative design. ‘Why Commute?’
“I was amazed, it was a nice shock,” said Pip. “It has given me a real sense of achievement.
“I work from home so I designed this for me. I could imagine me in here.
“The colours are whites and greens with darker materials.
“It is bright and uplifting, fresh and clean. I love it.”
Pip, from the Wirral, has created 39 gardens for the show over the past 17 years.
With flair and imagination, she surrounded the quiet garden office with space to relax and unwind outside.
Whilst inspiring creativity and productivity in the working environment, she also wanted to provide a place for pleasure and entertaining family and friends.
Drawing her ideas together in the planning stages, she assembled a mood board of more than 60 different plants to weave into the garden.
Then with painstaking precision, she created different levels and seating areas.
A metal pergola and two metal arches add height and divide the different zones.
A separate access to the right of the garden keeps clients and business visitors from entering the family home.
“I can’t imagine working from anywhere but home now,” said Pip, who started her garden design and landscape business in 2005.
