DO you love golf or fancy giving it a go?

High Legh Park Golf Club are hosting a free family fun day on Sunday with special appearances from Rose Ladies Series winner Jae Bowers and European Tour winner Carly Booth.

Open to the public and free to attend, there will be fun golfing activities for the whole family, from putting to long-drive competitions.

The club’s charity ‘The Golf Foundation’ will be attending and holding ‘Get into Golf Sessions’ for children throughout the afternoon.

Members and non-members will be able to go head-to-head in the long-drive tournament, where players are invited to drive as far as possible with the furthest drive scooping a brilliant prize at the end of the day.

Rose Series winner Jae Bowers will be running a ladies and juniors golf lesson at 3pm.

There will be lots more fun interactive games and activities including free golf lessons for the family with PGA professionals, face painting and activities, golf challenges and prizes, food and drink, music.

At the end of the event, prizes will be presented from the fun day along with the Club Captains’ Trophies and major board trophies from the season so far.

The fun day runs from noon to 4pm.

High Legh Park will also be open on Sunday for weddings, conference and party viewings, as well as hosting a recruitment open day to promote roles available at the club.

Set among a 200-acre estate, High Legh Park Golf Club have a 24-bay driving range, 18-hole championship course, nine-hole academy course and six-hole practice and chipping course.

Members and non-members are welcome to play golf or relax in the surroundings of the clubhouse, bar and restaurant, with outdoor terraces.
