A FOUR-CAR collision in Styal this morning left a couple of drivers needing medical treatment.

Police, fire and the ambulance service were called to Hollin Lane at around 12.30pm on Monday afternoon (June 27).

Emergency services were called to the scene and firefighters had to use hydraulic equipment to stabilise a car before releasing a casualty.

Cheshire Police were also in attendance, with the crash meaning the road was temporarily blocked.

A police spokesman said: “At around 12.30pm, officers were called to reports of a collision between a white Seat Ibiza and a silver Skoda Yeti on Hollin Lane, Styal.

“The collision resulted in the road being blocked temporarily.

“The injuries are thought to be minor.

“No arrests have been made in relation to the incident.”

A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service added: “Firefighters were called to a road traffic collision involving four vehicles.

"One appliance from Wilmslow and another from Greater Manchester were sent to the scene.

“Using hydraulic and stabilising equipment, they made a vehicle safe to allow for a casualty to be released and passed to the care of North West Ambulance Service.”

North West Ambulance Service confirmed that nobody involved in the crash required hospital treatment.
