CLUB Championships have been held at both Alderley Edge and Styal Golf Clubs.

Logan Stanyer set the pace with 71 in the opening round at Alderley Edge, followed by Gary Johnstone (73) and Drew Roberts (75).

In round two, Roberts led home the field as he posted 74 – one clear of Stanyer, with Piers Johnson a further shot back.

The subsidiary Stableford saw Tom Ricketts top Division One via a card play-off with Greg Wilmott after both finished on 35.

Division Two also needed a cpo, with Tom Adderley edging out Brian Foden, who finished alongside him on 35 points.

Over at Styal, Daniel Lynch claimed the overall club championship with an aggregate score of 147, two clear of Ryan Owens. Sam MacLeod and Simon Geddis both finished on 153.

That came after Lynch had led in the second round with 74, two less than both Owens and Khalid Musa.

Scott Haslam edged out both Simon Maxwell and Neil Brownhill via a cpo in the Nett Combined, with all three golfers finishing on 138 after two days of action.

He posted a neat 65 on Day Two after Lee O’Connell had led in the first day with 68.

A Sunday Stableford at Styal saw Sam Noar lead the field with a score of 41, which saw him finish two clear of Antony Barnsley. Simon Gibson finished one further back.

Chris Pogson won the Styal ladies medal via a card play-off with Pat Chadwick after both finished on 71, two less than Judith Lacey.
