A CYCLE hub in Knutsford will be playing host to an exhibition of paintings from well-known UK artists this week.

Collect Art, based in Lymm, is running an event at Apus Peak near Tatton Park between June 24 and 26, showcasing some of the paintings they have in their collection, including works by Ben Kelly and Geoffrey Key.

The Collect Art team will be there all weekend to chat to visitors about the works on display, and there will also be pizza and coffee available to buy at the Apus Peak café.

Martin Heaps from Collect Art explained: “Over the three days, we’ll be showing pieces of work by Theodore Major, Geoffrey Key, Ben Kelly, William Turner and more.

“Everyone is welcome to come down, even if it is just to discuss art.

“We do help people - we have customers who buy collections - so if anyone is interested in getting into art or looking at building a collection, they can come and talk to us.

“It’s an opportunity for people to view paintings in a non-gallery environment.”

This is the first time Collect Art has teamed up with Apus Peak, and Martin said the team is excited about the new exhibition after weeks of talks.

Husband and wife Kay and Craig Tierney opened the cycling hub beside Tatton Park earlier this year.

Apus Peak offers a community space to encourage everyone to get active with an indoor cycle class, maintenance workshop, a range of the latest bike clothing and accessories, yoga studio and café.

The exhibit will take place on June 24 and 26 from 10am until 4pm, and June 25 from 9am until 5pm.
