EMERGENCY services rushed to deal with a multi-vehicle crash this afternoon, Saturday.

Two fire engines from Crewe and Greater Manchester attended the A538 Altrincham Road in Wilmslow shortly after 2.30pm.

This came after Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a collision involving three cars and several casualties.

Most occupants were able to remove themselves from their vehicles.

However, two people who were medically trapped in one car required assistance from crews.

Firefighters used cutting equipment to remove the roof of the vehicle to help with the extrication process.

Cheshire Police and North West Ambulance Service were also in attendance.
