A RUBBISH fire that covered 10 metres by 10 metres caused damage to cars in Wilmslow yesterday, Saturday.

Firefighters from Wilmslow attended Moss Lane around 12.30pm to find that a small rubbish fire spread to cause heat damage to cars nearby.

It was put out by firefighters using a hose reel jet.

They then dampened the surrounding area down.

Additionally, there was a fire in the open on Station Road last night around 8pm.

Hand appliances were used by firefighters to put out the small fire.
