MUSIC lovers are being invited to take a trip down memory lane as an annual concert returns for its ninth year.

The Thanks for the Memory concert takes place at Cranage Hall on May 22, taking the audience on a musical journey from the 1920s to the 21st century.

Hosted by the Dave Egerton Band, with musical director Tim Ashcroft as emcee, artists such as Glenn Miller, The Beatles, Vera Lynn, Van Morrison, Frank Sinatra and Amy Winehouse will be featured.

This year will also feature a guest appearance from comedian Don Reid, who has worked with Barbara Windsor, The Four Tops and Jerry Lee Lewis.

Don also headlined in Ken Dodd’s 'Festival of Comedy' and music hall, both as principal comic and chairman.

Finally, visitors can enjoy singing along to timeless classics from The Flukes Ukulele Band.

Proceeds from the concert will once again be going to support the Alzheimer’s Society and the Mid Cheshire Hospital Charity Dementia Fund.

The concert takes place at Cranage Hall between 2pm and 5pm.

Tickets are available via Eventbrite or the concert website at thanksforthememory.org.uk.
