A NEW gallery has opened to celebrate and showcase the work of gifted young artists.
Blue & Berry Art Gallery in Chelford has been unveiled by curators Jess Flewitt and Josie Clancy in a former delicatessen beside the Egerton Arms pub in Chelford.
The pair said:“The gallery has been a shared vision of ours for a number of year.
“We will be offering artists and art enthusiasts a relaxed and stimulating space in which to view and create art.”
The gallery on Knutsford Road will showcase the work of renowned, inspirational artists from the North West alongside talented recent graduates of fine art.

One of the displays is a collaboration between Manchester based artist Stephen Raw and former Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy.
'The Crown' brings together Duffy’s words and Raw’s artistic design, and was originally created for an exhibition in the Queens Gallery, Holyrood Palace, Edinburgh, as part of this year's celebrations of Her Majesty's Jubilee.
It will now be displayed again for the first time at Blue & Berry Art Gallery.
Stephen Raw, who has often collaborated with Carol Ann Duffy, the first female Laureate, used watercolours to create a statuesque work in which Duffy’s poem may be read as visitors move around the exhibit.
"Carol Ann's 'The Crown' is wonderful poetic tribute to a lifetime of duty and service," says Stephen.
"I wanted to do the sublime words justice with rich purples and deep reds.
“I am delighted that the public will have a chance to see my artwork again - the original being stored inside Windsor Castle as part of The Royal Collection, and so is somewhat off-limits to the public."
As part of the young artist cohort exhibiting at the gallery is Kate Clancy, a recent first class graduate from Manchester School of Art and former pupil of Knutsford Academy.
She will showcase her exciting and contemporary work alongside several other talented and diverse young artists.
Josie and Jess’s principle aims for the gallery are to support young artists of the future, display the work of superbly talented North West professional practitioners and provide a welcoming space where local community members can participate in art related events and classes.
