THIS sign blocking a pavement has angered residents.
Knutsford town councillor Andrew Malloy spotted it on Manchester Road, advertising a Cheshire Forest Hunt point to point steeplechase at Tabley House on Sunday.
Cllr Malloy said: “I just thought it was bizarre to place a sign there with little thought for pedestrians or people with a disability.
“We have this situation with parked cars but I’ve never seen notices like this in between signs.
"How does someone in a wheelchair or mobility scooter get around this?"

Cllr Malloy has asked for it to be removed.
A spokesman for Cheshire East Council said: “This direction sign was not placed in this position by Cheshire East Council Highways and does not belong to the council.
“No organisation should place their own temporary direction sign in this way, partially blocking the pavement and causing an obstruction for pedestrians and users of wheelchairs and mobility scooters, also a potential road safety hazard.
“The sign has been removed and we will speak to those people responsible.”
Tabley Races, held on Sunday, gave members of the public a chance to see the beautiful grounds of Tabley House, usually closed to the public, along with steeplechasing over 18 fences and three miles.
