Meet Cheshire's very own 'celebrity' sausage dog Rocco

Tiny dachshund Rocco has become a big celebrity after promoting many leading brands and is about to make his TV debut on The One Show.

BBC crews have already filmed him at home in Knutsford.

This incredible family pet stole the show from the moment he first posed for a camera.

"We posted a picture of him when he was only six weeks old with a little bow tie on and it went viral," said owner Katie Baker, 28.

"Everyone said he was a natural, a bit of a diva.

"The minute you get out a camera, he sits there and looks in a certain way. He knows how to model.

"He thinks he is a person."

Rocco comes from top breeding stock as his dad and gran were both Crufts champions.

The four-year-old social influencer is only 11 inches tall but already has 16,000 followers on Instagram, fans all over the world and his own agency.

Aldi, Jack Daniels, Go Outdoors, Warren James, TGI Fridays and Black Rifle Coffee Company are just some of the countless names he plugs.

"He's got more clothes than me and a better social life," said Katie, who works at home in technology with husband Jake, 28.

"He has harnesses, bows, shirts, coats, jackets, sports jerseys, hats and scarves.

"Companies send him brands to promote. He knows which parcels are for him and opens them himself.

"He loves attention," said Katie. "If people don't say 'hello', he barks until they do.

"He goes everywhere with us. He is known by all the shops and restaurants in Knutsford. Even when we went to London, people recognised him.

"He is a celebrity.

"He thinks he is bigger than he is, he thinks he is a Dobermann. One of our nicknames for him is 'ankle high guy'."

Yet beneath his confidence lies a soft, sensitive nature.

"He is very clever and recognises emotions," said Katie. "He knows when we are happy or sad. When I was pregnant with my daughter, he never left my side. He is very loyal.

"He loves cuddling and sitting on your knee, resting his head.

"He is small but feisty, a loving bundle of joy."

The couple have a two-year-old daughter Cindy-Lou.

"The minute she gets in from nursery, he is all over her," said Katie. "He cuddles up to her at night."
