LEADERS Shaw Heath remain seven points clear at the top of the Knutsford and District Amateur Snooker League following this week’s matches.
They had seen their lead cut to two points by Morley Green, who were strong 5-2 victors over Mere C on Tuesday thanks in no small part to a 100+ frame score from Mike Richmond.
However, the table-toppers responded with a 5-2 win of their own over Wilmslow Cons B, with Adam Griffiths, Sam Jackson and Graham Whalley on fine form.
Elsewhere, Mobberley A held onto third place despite losing 4-3 to Tatton B.
Mobberley skipper Paul Adkin’s break of 34 helped his team win the aggregate point to limit the damage.
Mere A moved off the foot of the table with a 5-2 win over Mobberley B, with Tatton C dropping to the bottom after losing 6-1 to an impressive Wilmslow Cons A.
The round’s other result saw Mobberley C beat Tatton A 4-3.
