A NEW tailors has moved to Knutsford.

Ferhat Bilgi has opened a new shop, Golden Stitches, offering a sewing and alteration service at Canute Place.

Knutsford mayor Cllr Stewart Gardiner performed a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially launch the new business.

This is the second branch as Ferhat also has a shop in Wilmslow.

Cllr Gardiner said: "I was very pleased to be asked to officially open Golden Stitches on Canute Square recently.

"I wish Ferhat and his family all the very best with this new venture and encourage Knutsfordians to take the opportunity of employing his tailoring skills."

The shop offers a one hour while you wait service for no extra cost.

Professional leather alterations are available as well as adjustments and repairs to evening wear, wedding dresses, suits, shirts, jackets, dresses and table wear.

Ferhat said: “We are very happy and feel very lucky about opening our second branch in Knutsford on Canute Place.

"We are already so busy thanks to the location of the store and support from local people.

"Knutsford was the ideal location for us and we are happy that our store was officially opened by the mayor.

"We thank him so much for his support and his attendance. It was an honour."
