A SCHOOL football team will be playing in North of England finals next month.
The Year 5 and 6 side at High Legh Primary School qualified in thrilling fashion from the Cheshire small school finals staged at Crewe Alexandra's ground.
Games started in a round robin style against three other schools on a very cold and blustery day.
High Legh progressed to the semi finals where they faced Delaney’s Academy and won 2-0.
They were also leading 2-0 against Calveley Primary School in the final but were pegged back to 2-2 in the second half.
High Legh then proved victorious with almost the last kick of the game.
They progress to the North of England finals at Newcastle University on March 16.
