THE Knutsford and District Amateur Snooker League returns from its festive break with a mouthwatering contest among the clutch of matches.

Top-two sides Morley Green and Shaw Heath clash on Thursday in a game that observers believe could well play a part in deciding the outcome of the 2021/22 title race.

The final round of matches in December brought about a big swing at the top of the league table.

Having started the week three points behind Shaw Heath, Morley Green are now two points clear following their impressive 7-0 victory against Mobberley B.

Shaw Heath suffered only their second defeat of the season against Mere C, despite a 42 break by Shaun Brearley.

Mere C had ton-plus scores from Richard Jones and Sam Riley, who inflicted on Adam Griffiths his first loss in the KADASL.

Tatton A remain in third after edging a tight match against Wilmslow Cons A 4-3.

Tatton B won by the same score against Mere A in another tight match that leaves them sat in fourth place.

In the other matches, Mobberley A beat Wilmslow Cons B 5-2 and Mobberley C pipped Tatton C in yet another close match that included a 106-point frame score from Francis Evans.
