A MAN caught driving whilst being almost twice over the legal alcohol limit has been banned from the road.
David Morris, 40, of Mainwaring Drive, Wilmslow, was driving a Mercedes on February 2 this year when police carried out a breath test, Greater Manchester Magistrates Court heard on November 26.
The reading recorded that he had 67 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

Morris initially denied the offence on Wistaria Road in Gorton, Manchester, but changed his plea to guilty.
Bolton magistrates issued a £270 fine and £34 victim surcharge.
The defendant's guilty plea was taken into consideration when he was sentenced as a £300 fine could have been imposed.
Morris was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months and he was given an endorsement.
No order for costs was made due to the amount that the defendant already owes to the court.
