AFTER its maiden success last Christmas, a novel community event is making a festive return to Pickmere this weekend.
Last year, Simon Read, Naomi Petrou-Brown and Jane Norton decided to do their own take on the traditional Christmas market, but with a twist.
Rather than the usual festive markets, the trio decided to invite the community to open stalls at the end of their driveways, with donations being given to the MacMillan Cancer Support.
As well as Pickmere residents the market attracted people from neighbouring Wincham and surrounding areas.

Fresh from its debut success, when there were 12 stalls, this year, that number has grown to an impressive 23.
Simon explained: "The stall holders will be spaced around the village on their driveways, some are businesses and some are individuals selling items.
"We have 21 stalls in total including Christmas goods, mulled wine, brass band, antiques, cakes and cosmetics.
"During the day there will be collections for MacMillan Cancer and all stall holders are invited to give an anonymous donation for taking part.
"This was very successful last year and we hope it will be this year."
The market will operate in Pickmere between 11am and 3pm on Sunday, December 5.
