A DRIVER who is banned from the road was stopped by police after clocking 130mph on the M6.
North West Motorway Police stopped the motorist after spotting him travelling at nearly twice the national speed limit.
The incident happened at around 1am on Friday, November 26, on the southbound carriageway, between junctions 19 and 18.
To make matters worse, when the driver was stopped, it was discovered he was actually disqualified from driving.
Officers then made the person take a Drug Wipe, which tested positive for cocaine.
The driver was then taken in to custody.
North West Motorway Police tweeted: "There's nothing like bringing attention to yourself travelling at 130mph M6 J19 to J18 Southbound.
"Off to Custody."
