FIREFIGHTERS were called out to assist after a collision left a car stranded in a hedge yesterday morning, Wednesday.

The crew from Lymm Fire Station attended the incident shortly after 9am on Warrington Road near Mere.

On arrival, they found that the car had sustained damage to the front, side and read and had collided with a hedge.

Thankful, there were no reports of any injuries.

A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 9.10am on Wednesday, November 24, firefighters attended reports of a collision on Warrington Road, Mere.

“On arrival at the scene, the crew found a car had collided with a hedge.

Posting on social media, Lymm Fire Station added: “Firefighters from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service attend road traffic collisions whenever someone is trapped in a vehicle, or when they are required to help make the area safe or put out a vehicle fire.

“Blue watch attended an RTC and made the vehicle safe.”
