SEVEN more people have died across Cheshire East and West within 28 days of a positive Covid-19 test.

This includes six in Cheshire East and one in Cheshire West.

A total of 10 more people died across both boroughs with ‘Covid-19’ listed on the death certificate – five in Cheshire East and five in Cheshire West.

Meanwhile, a total of 551 new cases were reported in Mid Cheshire between 4pm on November 18 and 4pm on November 19, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

This is made up of 312 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester and 239 cases in Cheshire East.

This brings the total number of cases recorded since the start of the pandemic to 51,394 in Cheshire West and 55,028 in Cheshire East.

The latest update means there have now been 1,397 cases in the last seven days in Cheshire West, giving the borough a seven-day case rate of 406.3 per 100,000 people.

There have been 1,561 cases in Cheshire East over the last week, meaning the borough’s seven-day case rate is now 403.7 per 100,000.
