POLICE have named two people found with drugs worth more than £250,000 in a car on the M6 near Knutsford.
The pair were arrested in the early hours of Thursday, October 21, after they were stopped on the southbound carriageway between junction 18 and 19.
They have now been named as 31-year-old Emily Philips, who was driving the pink Ford Mustang, and her passenger Robert Dalton, 38.
During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers discovered a quantity of what are believed to be Class A drugs worth between £250,000 to £500,000.
Both have been charged with possession with intent to supply class A Drugs. The driver has also been charged with dangerous driving.
Philips, of Georges Road, Swanely, and Dalton, of Old Road West, Gravesend, have both been remanded in police custody and are set to appear at Cheshire Magistrates Court later today, Friday, October 22.
