TWO teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of stealing a car after residents raised the alarm.
Police were called to reports of suspicious activity on Grange Park Avenue in Wilmslow.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "Officers attended the scene and arrested two 16-year-old boys on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
"The pair have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries."
Details of the incident, which happened at 10.20pm on September 7, have only been released by the police today.
Officers have thanked the public for their vigilance.
