A MAN has pleaded guilty to the terrifying armed robbery of a bank in Knutsford.
Jason Jenyons, of Overfields, was appearing at Chester Crown Court, sitting at the city's Crowne Plaza hotel, on Monday, October 11.
The 51-year-old admitted to robbing the King Street branch of Natwest on March 5 this year.
Another man, Paul Broughton, of Shaw Drive, had already admitted his part in the robbery at an earlier hearing.
The drama unfolded shortly before 1pm when the two men burst into the bank, threatened staff, before stealing cash and making their escape on a black motorbike.
Armed police then swarmed into the town as roads were closed.
However, within a week, detectives had arrested and charged the two perpetrators.
Both Jenyons and 42-year-old Broughton will return to court to be sentenced on November 10.
