FAMILIES are being invited to a special concert to help raise funds for a new hospital.
Knutsford and District Lions Club is staging its annual charity concert in October where they will welcome back popular folk band, the Houghton Weavers.
The concert will take place at St John's Parish Church, in Church Hill, with proceeds going towards The Christie at Macclesfield hospital and other Lions charities.
Lions president Paul Buttrick said: “Do join us for a fun evening of musical entertainment and laughter.
"We welcome back the Houghton Weavers, one of the best-loved folk bands, who will entertain with a variety of songs and comedy in their own special way.
"Previous Lions’ concerts involving the band have been sell-outs, so please help us to fill the larger space available this year at the parish church – all for the benefit of very deserving local charities.”
A bar will be available, and as seating is unreserved try to arrive early.
The concert takes place on Friday, October 15 – doors open at 6.45pm for a 7.30pm start.
Tickets cost £18 and can be obtained from eventbrite.co.uk – enquiries via knutsford.lions@gmail.com.
