LIVE music and family fun events are being hosted by an ancient Cromwellian building.

Brook Street Chapel, the only grade I building in Knutsford, is hosting an open day as part of national heritage week.

Special activities are being held on Sunday, September 19 at the chapel opposite Knutsford station.

Maurice Pitcher, who is organising the event, said: "We want people in our town to experience a relaxing and highly entertaining few hours in our hidden garden right here in the centre of Knutsford.

"We are providing lots of entertainment for the children including hand puppet decoration which can be used for our pop up puppet theatre.

"We would like more people to experience the beauty of this building.
