Jenny Cookson, co-chairman of the parent-led committee, said: “Our nursery has been at the heart of the High Legh community for half a century, providing care for generations of families.
"It was wonderful to be able to celebrate this momentous anniversary with the wider community who have supported us so much over the years.
“As a registered charity, we rely heavily on our fundraising events held throughout the year, which all had to be cancelled due to the pandemic, so this was a particularly special occasion as not only was it our 50 year anniversary."
It was the families and the community have been able to join together at the nursery on Pheasant Walk since before the pandemic.
“It was a fantastic day, attended by families both past and present," said Jenny.
"The money raised will help secure the future of our pre-school and ensure we can continue to provide the high quality care and nurturing learning environment that we are known for.”
