DRIVERS are being warned of delays on the M6 in Cheshire after a crash.
Three lanes of the northbound carriageway were initially closed following the collision between junction 17 for Sandbach and junction 18 for Middlewich earlier this morning.
Two lanes remain closed until 8.15am with congestion backing up more than four miles to Sandbach services.
All lanes have reopened but the incident has caused residual delays.
A Highways England spokesman said:"Three lanes of the M6 northbound between J17 and J18 have been closed due to a collision.
"Traffic Officers and recovery are on their way to the area. Congestion currently back to Sandbach services.
"This incident is causing delays of 30 minutes above normal journey time and there's approximately 4.5 miles of congestion and building.
"Please allow extra time for your journey."
