IT’S nearly here.

Bank holiday weekend is around the corner and for those that wish to make the most of it by heading out, we have rounded up several things you can get up to in and around Cheshire.

Oulton Park Gold Cup

Oulton Park’s traditional Historic Gold Cup nostalgia weekend is back with three more days of retro entertainment this bank holiday weekend.

There will be two headline Formula 2 races in Little Budworth, one on Sunday and the other on Monday. The overall winner will receive this year's Gold Cup.

Ten Lock Flight

One for the kids – especially if they like Paw Patrol. On Saturday between 2-5pm, the characters will be visiting the Runcorn pub.

Tickets are £8.99 per child which includes meeting the characters, face painting and kids pizza.

Tatton Park

The Knutsford park has a number of events to keep visitors busy on bank holiday weekend.

The Country Fayre at the farm takes place on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. There are three days packed with events where you can have a go at activities, farm demos and more. Also, you can say hello to our newly hatched chicks and Molly's new piglets.

Also at Tatton this weekend, the Luna Cinema returns. Watch classic films under the stars with friends and family with Rocketman on Thursday, Dirty Dancing on Friday, The Greatest Showman: Sing-a-long on Saturday and Star Wars: A New Hope on Sunday.

Barnton Cricket Club

Their annual beer festival is back up and running on Thursday to Monday. They have live entertainment on Saturday and Sunday evenings, with approximately 20 guest beers along with a gin and cocktail bar. Ciders are also available and food will be available all weekend.

On bank holiday Monday, as well as the beer festival, they are hosting a ladies cricket tournament starting at 2pm.

Congleton Jazz and Blues

Across Saturday and Sunday, they will be playing at 16 venues and more than 50 gigs that can be accessed for free.

Music is Quay

The Music is Quay event returns on Saturday.

It showcases local bands, singers and musicians as well as providing a free music event for local people and visitors to enjoy this summer.

The Cheshire Game and Country Fair

The Cheshire Showground will welcome the game and fair on Sunday and Monday.

There will be arena events, a chainsaw competition, family entertainment, a shooting village and more.

Mobberley village fete

The Bulls Head will once again play host to the village fete on Saturday.

From 12-6pm, events will take place. Dog owners are able to register their dog in the dog show. They can do so between 12-1pm in one of four categories with the show taking place between 1-2pm.

Live music, a rum and gin tent and a bake-off will also take place.
