A PASSIONATE gardener has won another gold medal to add to her coveted collection.

Sue Beesley from Bluebell Cottage Gardens and Nurseries was thrilled to achieve the top award again from judges at the RHS Flower Show in Tatton.

When she last exhibited in 2019 she won gold at both RHS shows in Tatton and Chatsworth.

Sue, who specialises in flowering perennials, loves to share her knowledge and expertise with gardeners.

"Selling plants isn't the bit that excites me," said Sue, who has exhibited at Tatton for 14 years. "The bit I love is growing and talking to people about choosing the right plants for their gardens.

"It's about picking plants that will thrive for you and enjoying them."

Designing her display for this year's floral marquee was all about showcasing what she does best, nurturing top quality hardy perennials.

"There is nothing fancy and very few new breedings," said Sue. "I hope this acts as an inspiration."

The nursery at Lodge Lane, Dutton, stocks more than 700 varieties of flowering perennials. Most of the plants are propagated from stock plants, using peat-free compost and managed without chemical pesticides.

Sue keeps all her gold medals in the tea room which is open to the public.
