THE countdown to Toft Cricket Club’s first senior tour in a number of years is on, with the players heading down to Devon on Monday.

They will play a T20 at North Perrott Cricket Club – former home of ex-Toft cricketer, Rupes Kitzinger, on Monday at 6pm.

The following day North Devon Cricket Club will play hosts from midday.

Next Wednesday the players will take part in the Norman Ryan Golf Day at Woodbury Park Golf Club.

And the trip will conclude 24 hours later with a 50-over game at Shobrooke Park Cricket Club versus Devon Dumplings at 11.30am.

Meanwhile, Knutsford CC teams continued their unbeaten run across the club for the third successive week.

In the seconds game at Timperley, the hosts capitulated from 55-1 to 113 all out with paceman Asif collecting 5-25.

Knutsford required less than 19 overs to reach their target aided by an opening stand of 82 between Raza (41) and Alif, whose unbeaten 43 completed an excellent personal performance.

At home, a rain affected 72-over game saw the first XI achieve 170-4 with runs from Ahmed 33, Khan 26 retired hurt, Malik 47 not out and Arslan 34 not out.
