A TRACTOR caught fire in Knutsford.
Firefighters were called to reports of a tractor being on fire in a field in the Northwich Road area shortly before midday yesterday.
On arrival crews found the tractor well alight.
A water shuttle was set up to get enough water to the field and firefighters wearing breathing used three hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
The tractor was then damped down to make it safe.

Firefighters were at the scene for more than an hour.
Two fire engines attended from Wilmslow and Lymm
