A WOMAN was overcome with smoke in a house fire.
Firefighters were called to a property on Forest Place at 8.10pm last night.
On arrival crews found that the fire, which was in the living room, had been extinguished.
Firefighters damped down the affected area and used a large fan to ventilate the room.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "One woman who was suffering from smoke inhalation was left in the care of paramedics."
Two fire engines attended the incident.
