VOLUNTEER paramedics are appealing for help to find a premises which would allow them to stay in the town.

The group of former Knutsford British Red Cross volunteers have spent decades providing event first aid in the area.

But after the British Red Cross ceased providing event first aid, the 14 volunteers have now transferred across to St John's Ambulance.

Now they are looking for premises with room to meet once a week (between 6.30pm and 9.30pm) and have space to teach adults and store training equipment.

Unit lead and paramedic Anna Plaskett said: "We really want to stay in the Knutsford area, but are struggling to find premises.

"Now lockdown is starting to ease we are desperate to find premises to have our weekly meetings in.

"We have had an event first aid presence in the area for decades and are looking to expand our group and develop a youth section to run alongside our main group to maintain continuity.

"We are a very active group who trains weekly and covers events in the local area and really want to keep our place and grow in the Knutsford area.
