THE Botanist in Knutsford is re-opening on May 17th – and is now taking bookings.

After temporarily closing its doors due to lockdown, The Botanist has announced its menu has had a ‘spring clean’ with new drinks and dishes available.

Guests who want to be amongst the first to try it are urged to book to secure their spot – although The Botanist remains committed to accommodating walk-ins (on a first-come first basis) every day.

New food dishes include a fresh Pea Houmous, Heritage Tomato Salad and a new Botanist Board containing; patatas bravas, chicken skewers, cumberland scotch egg, whole garlic prawns and a baked camembert with prosciutto.

Despite new spring and summer menu items, The Botanist are quick to re-assure guests that their signature serve of hanging kebabs are going nowhere.

Leane King, of The Botanist, said: "We know how important amazing food and drink is for when getting together with loved ones.

"Whilst we hope these fresh dishes become household favourites, we could never take away the signature Hanging Kebabs – and we hope the return of our old favourites is the start of normality returning."

Cocktail lovers will be delighted to know that during the latest lockdown, The Botanist has been busy cultivating some brand-new cocktail creations for guests to enjoy alongside their classic kebabs.

The cocktail-experts are keeping tight-lipped about what will feature on the new drinks menu – but promise plenty of botanical creations that showcase the versatility of botany around the globe.

Kelly Harrison, head of bars for The Botanist, revealed: "We’re keeping our cocktail cards close to our chests, but I can confirm we’ve foraged for some quirky, yet complimentary flavour pairings.

"One drink I can share is our Wild Peach and Yuzu Cosmo inspired by the Japanese Botanicals found in Roku, designed to be the perfect summer sipper."
