THE Bears Paw in Knutsford has been transformed into a pub for all seasons.
Publicans Jason and Mel Craig have rejuvenated their outside space so guests can eat and drink safely in line with Covid regulations when they reopen on Monday.
The couple have worked hard to remain at the heart of the community.
Starting with only a few picnic benches and parasols, they launched a major revamp.
A pergola with a roof and retractable sides means customers can now relax outside in all weathers.
Decked with cosy throws, candles, festooned lighting and heating, customers can enjoy an authentic alfresco experience.
The courtyard now has an orangery theme, with stunning plants and bright bric-a-brac.
The pub is also opening a new shack which offers covered seating for up to eight people and is ideal for private bookings.
A grassed beer garden will also be available with plenty of picnic style seating.
Jason said: “We’re so pleased with all the changes we’ve been able to make to our outdoor space.
"We’ve always seen great potential in this fantastic area. We’re so pleased we’ve finally taken the plunge and upgraded it.
"We have designed two amazing outdoor concepts we can rotate every year, meaning the pub will always match guests’ requirements according to the seasons.
"We’ve done everything we can to provide our guests with a natural pub experience and we can’t wait to see them back here."
Punch Pubs & Co designed the scheme as part of a £1 million to help hundreds of pubs trade safely outside.
Operations manager Jenni O’Grady said:“It’s been fantastic to work with Jason and Mel. "Whilst this has been a tough year for everyone in the pub industry, it has enabled us to adapt our businesses and make changes that guests can enjoy for years to come”.
