SEXUAL predators, drug dealers and violent men were amongst the Wrexham and Flintshire criminals brought before the courts last month.
Justice has been served to many over March – with freshly sentenced crooks spending this Easter locked behind bars for their crimes.
The Leader has looked back at some of the court cases that have been featured in the paper this month following hearing at the region’s court buildings.
These are some of the criminals who were jailed by the courts in March:
NAME: Daniel Jordan Aston
AGE: 25
DATE: Wednesday, March 3
COURT: Mold Crown Court
CRIME: Possession of a knife
SENTENCE: 30 weeks in prison
WHAT THE JUDGE SAID: “The knife wasn't produced but it was found hidden in the belt of your trousers.”
PARAMEDICS discovered a man had a knife tucked into the waistband of his trousers as he was being treated in the back of an ambulance.

AGE: 48
DATE: Wednesday, March 10
COURT: Mold Crown Court
CRIME: Public nuisance, racially aggravated harassment and assault.
SENTENCE: Two years and eight months in prison
WHAT THE JUDGE SAID: “Ultimately, the people of Deeside and the police do deserve and will get some respite from your offending.”

A WREXHAM sex offender has been jailed after he failed to tell police about his circumstances.

A MAN who 'repeatedly' stabbed his ex-partner with a fork has been jailed.

WHAT THE JUDGE SAID: Judge Rhys Rowlands described the attack as “vicious” and unprovoked.
