THE latest community data from Public Health Wales reveals how communities compared as March came to an end.

PHW have shown exactly how our different communities compare with their mapping feature which was first added to the daily update provided by health officials in response to monitoring COVID-19 in October 2020.

It presents data broken down beyond the standard local authority areas that people could previously access and now shows how individual communities compare.

Below, we took a snapshot look of the latest available seven-day period from March 21 to 27.

Here’s what we found in Flintshire:

The latest data shows a huge difference for the county compared to previous weeks.

Collectively, a small number of cases have been reported in the last week but, compared to seven days ago, numbers have been driven down massively in most towns and villages.

Not a single area reported a growth in cases. Compared to last week, many areas have managed to maintain the lowest bracket of coronavirus reports that PHW uses (0-2 cases) or reduce their levels to reach that band.

Figures reveal that, during the latest seven-day period, the biggest drop came from the Broughton and Saltney area.

Since then, with weeks of following the rules, the situation continues to remain positive for the county with very low levels locally.

Two areas saw a relatively small increase over the week but the county largely maintains low levels of the virus.

For the past few weeks, these maps show tat the county has been able to drive down their figures right the way down - with the vast majority now reporting the lowest amount (0-2).
