KNUTSFORD youngsters at Gymfinity Gymnastics have been training with the stars during lockdown.

Although the facility on Westfield Drive has been closed, sessions have been staged 'virtually' at home meaning the gymnasts have been able to see each other and work together online.

And to keep their timetable fresh on Zoom, the cloud-based video communications app, Gymfinity have had guest teachers every week.

These have included dancers from the West End, Olympians and Cirque du Soleil performers!

"The gymnasts have really benefitted from the wealth of experience these experts have brought to the online classes," said director Ruth Chapman.

"They have also done question-and-answer sessions with the guests and learnt lots about their careers."

So far guest teachers have included:

Alice Upcott - part of Britain's Got Talent 2010 winning act Spelbound and ex-world champiom

Marissa King - Team GB 2008 Beijing Olympian and performer in Cirque du Soleil show Amaluna

Barnaby Thompson - plays Ed in The Lion King in London's West End

Katie Warsop - actress and dancer whose musical theatre credits include playing Miss Bell in Fame the Musical in the West End

"As a club we have worked really hard this lockdown to keep our gymnasts engaged," said Ruth.
