ALMOST 1,000 packets of drug laced sweets have been discovered by police.
Officers found 944 packets of cannabis edibles in a wooded area in Alderley Edge yesterday.
PCSO Callum Edwards, who patrols Alderley Edge, said: " The packaging is designed to look like regular sweets and consequently appeals to children."
Some dangerous drug-laced edibles can provoke heart palpitations, anxiety attacks, vomiting and hallucinations in children.
Parents are warned to be vigilant and warn children of the dangers of cannabis edibles.
