LOVE is in the air at a Knutsford farm.

The first lambs have arrived as The Lambing Shed cafe launches hot takeaway food in time for Valentine's Day.

The family run farm shop has been open throughout lockdown.

From Friday, February 12, the cafe will be offering an extended menu every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

For the first time, a takeaway roast dinner will be available on Sunday.

Shop manager Lesley Sullivan-Jones said: "We are excited to bring you our date night meal kit for two.

"Our chefs have put in all the hard work behind the scenes. All you need to do is pick it up and finish at home. Cooking instructions are provided so everything is made easy.

"All the beef and lamb comes from our farm, made at the butcher's counter and cooked in the kitchen."

Moseley Hall Farm is run by farmer Michael Mitchell and his daughter Kathryn.

The farm shop opened five years ago.

"We have a loyal customer base," said Lesley. "During the first lockdown we offered a click and collect delivery service. Our customers have always been very supportive.

"We have been running a small basic takeaway from our deli counter serving sandwiches and sausages but now we are offering a much more extended menu."

The romantic meal for two includes home-reared grass-fed steaks, honey glazed carrots, tender stem broccoli and dauphinoise potatoes with peppercorn sauce.

This is followed by a trio of desserts strawberry and white chocolate dome, rich dark chocolate brownie and prosecco gummy bears in a chocolate cup.

Valentine's Day meals cost £60 for two and will be accompanied by handmade chocolate truffles and must be pre-ordered by visiting the-lambing-shed.myshopify.com or by calling 01565 631027.

Orders close for Sunday dinner at 3pm on Friday.
