PLANS to turn a residential property into a house of multiple occupancy (HMO) have been met with opposition from nearby residents.
Proposals seeking a certificate of lawfulness to use a property at 159 to 161 West End Road, Haydock, as a six-bedroom HMO were sent to the council.
The application, submitted by Janice Reekie, has attracted several objection letters.
Residents have cited worries over parking and vehicle congestion among their concerns.

One said: "The current residents on this row already struggle for parking we also have three commercial properties that attracts a large amount of visitors and adds to the ongoing issues and causes a huge amount of stress and frustration".
They added: "I am worried about what type of residents this accommodation will attract. I along with the other residents have children and I do not want my children disturbed with the sheer amount of noise pollution that this amount of people in a confined space with produce".
One said the current parking arrangements are already at "breaking point".
A determination deadline for the application has been set for March 2.
