BOROUGH chiefs have confirmed which public toilets will be staying open during the current lockdown.

Cheshire West and Chester Council has announced how the latest restrictions will affect its services across mid Cheshire.

This includes public toilets – with the local authority confirming that it will be keeping three of these open in areas popular for walking and outdoor exercise.

Cllr Louise Gittins, CWAC leader, said: “We are doing everything possible to continue to deliver vital services to support the borough.

“However, to keep everyone safe some facilities do have to close or reduce the services available during the lockdown period.

“Our aim is that the vast majority of our services will continue to be operational.”

CWAC has confirmed that its public toilets at Little Budworth car park and Marbury Park will be remaining open during the current lockdown, along with the disabled toilet at Shakerley Mere.

These facilities will be open from 10am to 5pm.

The council says it will continue to monitor all its front-line services and will review the impact of Covid as the lockdown progresses.
