ANOTHER 133 cases have been confirmed across Cheshire East and West in the latest 24-hour figures.

This is nine less that the amount of people diagnosed with coronavirus announced yesterday.

Latest figures from Public Health England cover the 24-hour period up to 9am today, Friday, December 4.

In Cheshire East, including Knutsford and Middlewich, there were 60 cases, taking the borough's total to 9,235 since the pandemic began.

In Cheshire West, including Northwich and Winsford, 53 people were confirmed to have the virus, taking the borough's total up to 9,153 so far.

Infection rates across both boroughs remain at a similar level to yesterday but much have dropped considerably since this time last week.
