ANOTHER 121 cases of Covid have been confirmed across Cheshire East and West in the latest 24-hour figures.

That is almost identical to the 122 announced yesterday, December 2.

Latest figures from Public Health England cover the 24-hour period up to 9am today, December 3.

In Cheshire East, including Knutsford and Middlewich, there were 60 cases in that time – taking the borough’s total to 9,175 since the pandemic began.

In Cheshire West, including Northwich and Winsford, there were 61 cases in the 24 hours up to 9am today – taking the borough’s total to 9,100 since the pandemic started.

Infection rates across both boroughs remain at a similar level compared to yesterday and are much lower than one week ago.

The latest data from Public Health England covers the seven-day period up to November 28.

Cheshire East’s infection rate now stands at 121.8 per 100,000 people, following 468 cases in that week.

That is a slight fall from 128.1 per 100,000 people in yesterday’s figures, and compares to 170.5 per 100,000 people one week earlier.

Cheshire West’s infection rate now stands at 107.8 per 100,000 people, following 370 cases in the week up to November 28.

That is a slight increase from the rate of 100.6 per 100,000 people given yesterday, but far lower than 181 per 100,000 people one week earlier.
