Manchester Road, Knutsford
THERE is heavy traffic on the A50 Manchester Road, Knutsford, due to emergency repairs to an electricity pole.
There are temporary traffic lights between the A5034 Mereside Road (Tatton Park turn-off) and Green Lane.
Traffic management remains in place whilst the electricity pole is repaired outside Fryer's Roses.
A fire crew from Knutsford attended at 3.28am this morning to reports of a small fire at the top of an electrical pole on Manchester Road.
After an electrical company attended to assess the pole, the road was temporarily closed while firefighters dealt with the fire.
A hose reel jet was used to put out the flames, and a thermal imaging camera was used to check for any hot spots.
