ANOTHER 122 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed across Cheshire East and West in the latest 24-hour figures.
The latest data from Public Health England covers the 24-hour period up to 9am today, Friday, November 27.
In Cheshire East, including Knutsford and Middlewich, there were 66 new cases of Covid-19, 20 less than the previous day.
This takes the borough's total to 8,772 since the pandemic began.
In Cheshire West, 56 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus, only eight more than yesterday. Altogether there have been 8,826 cases confirmed in the borough since the start of the pandemic.
The seven-day infection rate continues to fall as both boroughs were placed in Tier 2 restrictions yesterday, ahead of the end of lockdown on December 2.
If infection rates continue to drop, the county could move down to Tier 1in the coming weeks.
The measures are set to be reviewed every fortnight.
