A PENRITH man charged with producing cannabis is due to appear at Carlisle Crown Court.
David Allen, 67, of Calthwaite, appeared at North and West Cumbria Magistrates' Court in Carlisle yesterday and has been remanded in custody.
Cumbria Police said a quantity of cannabis was located at a property in the village on July 20.
Allen was charged with producing a controlled class B drug and a second charge of concealing criminal property "namely cannabis, by means of converting it to cash," court papers state.
He is due to appear at the crown court on January 4, 2021.
